EU Methane Regulation

LDAR Compliance

The EU Methane Regulation requires operators to identify, investigate, repair, and document methane emissions across their assets. Inamata combines connected gas monitoring hardware, real-time asset visibility, automated incident management, and compliance reporting to help operators implement efficient Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) programs while reducing manual effort.

Whether monitoring production sites, compressor stations, processing facilities, or storage assets, Inamata provides a complete digital workflow from detection to documented compliance. In addition, our devices and platform allow other hazardous gases to be tracked without extra overhead.

Continuous Methane Monitoring

The Inamata Multi-Air Sensor provides continuous methane and gas monitoring using configurable sensor combinations and industrial-grade connectivity. The device can be installed directly at critical emission points and operates using LTE or Wi-Fi connectivity depending on site requirements.

Real-time measurements are transmitted automatically to the Inamata platform, where operators can monitor methane concentrations, identify abnormal emissions, and receive immediate alerts when configured thresholds are exceeded. This enables faster detection of leaks and supports proactive LDAR programs.

Asset Visibility & Leak Investigation

The Inamata platform provides a centralized map-based view of all monitored assets, enabling operators to visualize sensor locations, compare sites, and quickly identify areas requiring investigation. Monitoring data, trends, and alerts are available from a single interface for both field and management teams.

By combining live sensor measurements with asset location information, operators can prioritize inspections, document investigation activities, and maintain a clear audit trail for LDAR workflows. This improves operational efficiency while supporting regulatory reporting requirements.

Automated Incident Management

When methane concentrations exceed configured limits, Inamata automatically generates incidents and sends notifications through the mobile application and platform. Responsible personnel can be informed immediately, reducing response times and helping operators address potential leaks before they escalate.

All monitoring events, investigations, corrective actions, and resolution activities can be documented within the platform. Automated reporting capabilities simplify the creation of compliance records and provide evidence needed for internal reviews, audits, and regulatory submissions.
